News & Announcements

FALL CATECHESIS – Talks for young people and adults starts on Monday, Sept. 23rd at 8 PM in the School Cafeteria. If you find your faith is weak in response to the issues of the day, come and listen!  Talks continue on Mondays and Thursdays at 8 PM.  Free baby sitting.

FAMILY DAY – Sept. 29, 1-4 PM, includes face painting, balloons, rides, games, food, drinks and much more! Mark your calendars!

Our new Pastoral Council now has a total of ten members and met on July 29th.  The Council now includes: Barbara Kittle, Rose Inguanti, Kilsy Carreno, Pat Grossano, Rosalie Bespalco, Jim Albro, Dave Fanale, Olga Calabrese, and Katie Albin.  They are an amazing group of people who offer a wide variety of experience that includes a publishing executive, real-estate and construction person, a school superintendent, town council member, school nurse, leadership trainer, and much more.

One of the decisions made so far is to have a monthly hospitality day hosted by the various groups in the parish and on the same day provide name tags for everyone. This would also be a way for people to meet those who serve as choir members, musicians, lectors, greeters, etc.

The Council is also considering several small group activities that would focus on the recent sex abuse scandal and how the Church moves forward from this outrage, which may have affected you and/or people close to you.  More details to be announced.

We are searching for an easy to remember phrase that might help all of us to buy into our Mission which is to be a community of communities where each person working with others can encounter Christ and lead others to him.  If you have some suggestions for the Council or a memorable phrase, let one of them know of it, or email or call us.
